Job summary

Legacy Hospice is seeking an energetic Hospice Consultant (Sales) to join our Business Development team in Jackson, MS. You will build relationships, educate providers, and drive referrals to grow awareness of the hospice benefit.

You’ll promote services to physicians and healthcare partners, coordinate onboarding with branches, and develop strategic marketing plans with leadership. A strong focus is on delivering outcomes and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree or 3+ years of B2B sales experience (required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who can manage territory and schedule.
• Hospice or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
• Pre-employment drug screening including marijuana.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospice services to physicians, hospitals, senior living communities, and healthcare professionals.
• Conduct ongoing outreach and education with referral sources on hospice eligibility and Medicare guidelines.
• Coordinate timely document delivery and care initiation with physician offices and branch teams.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing plans with the Regional VP of Business Development.
• Track referral trends, market competition, and business opportunities.
• Participate in community events, public speaking, and educational sessions to increase hospice awareness.
• Support census and admissions growth by assisting the branch in meeting monthly goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of calls, visits, and territory activity.
