Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care across Broward and southern Palm Beach counties. The role runs from 7:00am to 3:30pm with every other weekend, supporting patients in their homes and communities.

You will work under the guidance of an RN or LPN, delivering compassionate care, assisting with ADLs, and maintaining a safe, dignified environment while offering emotional support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Six months’ experience in hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients in home and community settings.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, mobility and comfort measures.
• Support a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for each patient.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families with dignity and compassion.

What you’ll Do

As a CNA on our hospice team, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients in home and community-based settings

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures

• Support a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for each patient

• Offer emotional support to patients and their families, fostering dignity and compassion at every interaction

What You’ll Need

• Current license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Florida.

• Current Basic Life Support Certification.

• Six months’ experience working in hospital or healthcare environment

• Requires ability to drive, a reliable car, a good driving record, automobile insurance and basic knowledge of the county territory.

• Must be able to fulfill assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.

• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neat and clean in appearance.
