Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Hospice Executive Director - Registered Nurse in the Rosemont, IL area. This full-time on-site role requires an IL RN license, strong hospice leadership, and oversight of operations, budget, and regulatory compliance to deliver compassionate care.

The role emphasizes strategic growth in collaboration with Business Development, ensuring high-quality patient and family-centered palliation and care within the program's regulatory framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or leadership experience in a hospice setting.
• Active RN License for Illinois required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
• Meet the regulations and requirements of the state in which the program provides services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospice follows all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, including compliance, maintenance and submission of all required reports and records to Federal, State, accreditation, and Local regulatory departments.
• Maintain accreditation and a state of survey readiness.
• Provide leadership and oversight to support growth through strategic implementation of relationship expansion plans with Business Development teams.
• Manage overall financial performance of the program site including oversight of controllable costs.
• Participate in annual development of the program site's budget.
• Organize, manage, and administer hospice resources to provide hospice care to patients and families.
• Oversee day-to-day hospice operations and ensure coordinated plan of care aligned with patient and family needs.

• Ensures care provided optimizes the patient and family's comfort and dignity
• Ensures care provided is consistent with patient and family needs and goals, with the patient's needs and goals as a priority
