Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. invites you to join as Hospice Executive Director in the Rosemont, IL office. This full-time, on-site leadership role oversees hospice programs across Rosemont, Burr Ridge, and three inpatient units in the area.

The position requires strong hospice leadership experience and an active Illinois RN license is preferred. You will lead compliance, budgeting, operations, and strategic growth with a patient-centered approach, ensuring high-quality care and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or leadership experience, in a hospice setting required.
• Active RN License for Illinois preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office Suite products and EMR systems.
• Meet the regulations and requirements of the state in which the program provides services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospice follows all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, including compliance and reporting to regulatory departments.
• Maintain accreditation and survey readiness.
• Provide leadership to support growth through relationship expansion in collaboration with Business Development teams.
• Manage overall financial performance of the program site and oversee controllable costs.
• Participate in annual budget development for the program site.
• Organize and administer hospice resources to provide care for patients, families, and caregivers.
• Oversee day-to-day hospice operations and ensure a coordinated plan of care.

• Provide leadership and oversight to support growth through strategic implementation of relationship expansion plans in collaboration with the Business Development teams
• Manage overall financial performance of the program site which includes oversight of all controllable costs
• Participate in annual development of the program site’s budget
• Organizes, manages, and administers hospice resources to provide hospice care and services to patients, families, and caregivers necessary for the palliation and management of the terminal illness and related conditions
• Is responsible for the day-to-day hospice operations
• Ensure the hospice offers a coordinated plan of care for all patients/families while maintaining overall management of care
• Ensures care provided optimizes the patient and family’s comfort and dignity
• Ensures care provided is consistent with patient and family needs and goals, with the patient’s needs and goals as a priority
