Job summary

AccentCare is seeking an Executive Director, Hospice in Orange, CA. This full-time role requires a health-related degree and 2+ years of hospice leadership, with CA RN license preferred. The position offers a $160,000-$185,000 salary plus bonus and a strong benefits package.

As Administrator, you will lead hospice operations, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain accreditation, and drive growth with business development teams while managing budgets and resources for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a health-related field.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time supervisory or managerial hospice/home health experience within last 5 years.
• RN license in California preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospice follows all applicable Federal, State and Local laws.
• Compliance, maintenance and submission of required reports to regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accreditation and ensure survey readiness.
• Provide leadership to support growth with relationship expansion plans.
• Manage overall financial performance and budgeting for the site.
• Organize and administer hospice resources to provide care for patients and families.

• Bachelors Degree and/or leadership experience, in a healthcare setting preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office Suite products and EMR systems
• Meet the regulations and requirements of the state in which the program provides services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospice follows all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, including;
• Compliance, maintenance and submission of all required reports and records to Federal, State, accreditation, and Local regulatory departments
• Maintaining accreditation, when applicable
• Maintaining a state of survey readiness
• Provide leadership and oversight to support growth through strategic implementation of relationship expansion plans in collaboration with the Business Development teams
• Manage overall financial performance of the program site which includes oversight of all controllable costs
• Participate in annual development of the program site’s budget
• Organizes, manages, and administers hospice resources to provide hospice care and services to patients, families, and caregivers necessary for the palliation and management of the terminal illness and related conditions
• Is responsible for the day-to-day hospice operations
• Ensure the hospice offers a coordinated plan of care for all patients/families while maintaining overall management of care
• Ensures care provided optimizes the patient and family’s comfort and dignity
• Ensures care provided is consistent with patient and family needs and goals, with the patient’s needs and goals as a priority
