Job summary

Affinity Hospice is seeking an Executive Director to lead hospice services, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with federal/state guidelines. The role directs care standards, budgeting, and performance improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities include overseeing staffing, IDG coordination, and ensuring service quality while maintaining strong community relations and financial stability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hospice management experience.
• Registered Nurse strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice federal/state guidelines and payor requirements.
• Ability to supervise and motivate professional/administrative staff.
• Ability to communicate hospice concepts to patients and families via IDG.
• CPR certification current.
• Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Strong observation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to continuing education and mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in operational planning and budgeting.
• Ensure care aligns with Medicare/Medicaid and guidelines.
• Maintain ethical standards in business and clinical practice.
• Deliver exceptional service to patients, families, and referrals.
• Monitor operations for financial stability and performance.
• Oversee administrator on-call rotation and staffing.
• Lead IDG meetings and ensure timely documentation.
• Support staff development and annual performance evaluations.
• Ensure data collection and reporting to the Governing Body.
• Maintain compliance with policies, forms and job descriptions.
