Job summary

Affinity Hospice is seeking an Executive Director to provide overall direction for hospice services, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines and quality standards. The role involves staffing, budgeting, policy implementation, and leadership across care teams to deliver exceptional patient and family support.

The position oversees the interdisciplinary group, drives performance improvement, and maintains excellent relationships with referral sources and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hospice management experience.
• Registered Nurse strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice federal and state guidelines and Medicare/Medicaid payor requirements.
• CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in operational planning and budgeting.
• Ensures care meets Medicare/Medicaid ACHC, Federal and State guidelines.
• Maintains standards of ethical business and clinical practice.
• Oversees and participates in on-call rotation.
• Monitors operations to achieve goals and ensures staffing adequacy.
• Directs staff in admissions, discharges, transfers, and service delivery.
• Ensures staff development including orientation, training, and evaluations.
• Fosters open communication and a no-blame safety culture.
