Job summary

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience in a hospital or industrial setting, with experience in sanitation principles and techniques preferred.
• Ability to read and write in order to understand directions and warnings on cleaning supplies and logs.
• Interpersonal skills to be pleasant and courteous with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail for a majority of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Follows work schedule and performs all daily and weekly tasks to meet department cleanliness standards.
• Understands and follows department procedures at all times.
• Follows instructions and responds to work assignments from the manager or lead person.
• Provides thorough cleaning and restocks all supplies in assigned areas (patient rooms, restrooms, bathrooms, common areas).
• Efficiently manages work time and completes tasks by end of shift.
• Inspects work area and performs cleaning tasks independently.
