Job summary

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience in a hospital or industrial setting; sanitation principles preferred.
• Ability to read and write to understand directions and warnings on cleaning supplies and postings, and to complete logs.
• Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a pleasant and courteous manner.
• Pay close attention to detail for a majority of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Follows work schedule and performs daily/weekly tasks to meet department standards of cleanliness.
• Provides thorough cleaning and restocks supplies in patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Cleans floors by dry and damp mopping; moves equipment to storage areas as needed.
• Keeps closets and carts neat and organized; notifies supervisor of equipment issues.
• Attends required in-services and departmental meetings.
