Job summary

AHN Healthcare@Home in Warrendale, PA is seeking a Hospice Clinical Educator to coordinate staff orientation, education, and competencies in alignment with regulatory requirements. You will partner with Clinical leadership and HR to develop training content and ensure ongoing education across the agency.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs or BSN with current license, with Hospice Education experience and Medicare guidelines knowledge, plus ability to train staff and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or BSN with current state license.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
• 2 years of Hospice Education experience.
• 1 year of Quality Improvement experience preferred.
• CPR Instructor-certified or ability to be certified.
• Ability to train and develop employees to meet company expectations.
• Structured, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Medicare Guidelines for Hospice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Agency orientation for clinical staff with Human Resources.
• Develop and coordinate ongoing staff development and clinical training content.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare CoPs, CHAP standards, and other requirements.
• Coordinate Staff Meeting Agenda and In-services with Clinical leadership.
• Provide content for field staff conference calls with Clinical leadership.
• Participate in selecting agency preceptors/mentors.
• Develop preceptor/mentor curriculum and train agency preceptors/mentors.
• Distribute and ensure receipt of staff meeting information.
• Collaborate on process improvement and education remediation needs.
• Assist with duties in office as requested.
• Perform field visits as needed.
• Participate in program development and implementation.
• Assist other clinical departments with documentation improvement.
• Assemble and maintain a documentation task force for recommendations.
• Provide CEU-credited education courses to community facilities.
• Manage time to encompass all duties and documentation.
• Complete and submit corporate documents and reports timely.
• Meet or exceed established targeted goals.
• Maintain communication with the Director regarding compliance.
• Comply with Company’s Core Values and Core Competencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
