Job summary

VNAcare in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a dedicated Hospice Director to lead our hospice program in the High Desert. This full-time, exempt role offers professional growth, competitive compensation, and a commitment to compassionate patient care.

You will oversee operations, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and collaboration with Medical Directors, physicians, and the care team to ensure high-quality services for critically ill patients in the community.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in California.
• RN with a baccalaureate or higher degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years management experience in hospice care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate support and fulfillment of the agency’s mission, vision, values.
• Implements and monitors agency initiatives to achieve strategic goals.
• Coordinates with Medical Director and hospice physicians to meet patient needs and regulatory compliance.
• Supports a healthy work environment by promoting effective communication, collaboration, cooperation, and conflict resolution.
• Manages regulatory compliance with Medicare, accreditation standards, and payer requirements.
