Job summary

Optimal Hospice seeks a Compliance Coordinator to ensure CMS/JCI readiness and drive quality improvement across clinical staff and documentation. You will audit records, support IDTs, educate staff, and monitor COPs compliance while partnering with Nursing Supervisors and leadership to strengthen the QAPI program. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

Requires Registered Coordinator licensure in state of practice.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
Strong technical skills with Windows, MS Office, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Facilitate CMS and JCI survey readiness through audits, data analysis, and mock surveys.
Identify education needs and provide staff training for QAPI.
Audit clinical records for reimbursement and compliance with COPs.
Collaborate with Nursing Supervisors to ensure documentation aligns with care plans and legal requirements.
Oversee maintenance of clinical records to comply with COPs, JCI, and state guidelines.
Educate and mentor clinicians on Plan of Care data and documentation accuracy.
Lead and report quarterly chart audits, and support QAPI activities.
