Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for hospice care in West Allis and surrounding areas. This PRN position requires flexible scheduling of 1–2 shifts per week, 8am–5pm, with duties focused on compassionate end-of-life care in home or facility settings.

Qualified CNAs must be state-certified, CPR-certified, and listed on the state aide registry. A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are required to provide care across locations.

Qualifications

• State-certified CNA with required training and passing competency exam; state-specific requirements vary.
• CPR certification required for direct patient care.
• Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
• Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and state-required auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients, including assistance with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility support (up to 200 lbs with assistance).
• Support patients in their homes or care facilities through frequent movement and physical activity, such as walking, standing, reaching, and occasional driving, ensuring timely end-of-life care.
• Monitor comfort levels, respond to needs, and assist with daily living activities, always maintaining patient safety and dignity.
• Work comfortably in home and facility environments, adapting to varying conditions while upholding infection control and safety protocols.
