Job summary

ViaQuest Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our patient- and family-centered care team in the Columbus area. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, communicating patient status to the supervising RN, and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification is required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and to climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Performing duties as outlined in the plan of care.
• Effectively communicating updates and changes to patient's status to the supervising RN.
• Maintaining a safe patient environment.
• Providing emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.
• Maintaining current patient records and progress notes.
• Working as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
