Job summary

CorsoCare Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide to join our home health team in the Northern Columbus area. The role supports patients with daily personal care under RN supervision, and requires Ohio STNA certification and at least 1 year in hospice or home health care.

Responsibilities include assisting with ambulation, nourishment, vital signs, and infection control while maintaining a compassionate, team-oriented approach. Mileage reimbursement and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Currently certified as a STNA in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year of Hospice Aide experience in health care or home care.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Current driver's license with current automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Compliant with accepted standards and practices.
• Must be able to meet physical demands of patient care (ambulating, transferring, assisting with exercises).
• Self-directed with ability to work with little supervision.
• Avid team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a clean, healthful, and safe environment.
• Assist the patient with ambulation and uses safe transfer techniques.
• Assist with nourishment and fluid needs, including meals and fluids.
• Read and record temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Maintain infection control procedures and adherence to care plan.
• Greet and support patient and family, providing emotional support.
• Coordinate with Clinical Manager for schedule changes or coverage.
• Report any schedule changes or issues; adapt to staffing needs.
• Comply with laws, standards, accreditation, and policies.
• Organize daily visit schedule to minimize travel time and maintain productivity.
