Job summary

Empath Health’s Tidewell Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide (CNA) to assist patients with advanced illness and support their families. This role follows a written Plan of Care, reports concerns to the supervising nurse, and maintains patient confidentiality while delivering dignified care.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida CNA license, a valid Florida driver’s license if required for reassignment travel, and 1–3 years of relevant care experience, preferably in long‑term care.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida Driver’s License; required if driving between facilities as part of reassignment.
• 1–3 years of training and/or experience; one year in long-term care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and home maintenance per the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
• Recognize and report unusual conditions, incidents or patient-family interactions to the nurse.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Support and uphold Empath Health’s mission, vision, and values in daily care.
