Job summary

Empath Health's Tidewell Hospice in southwest Florida seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care in home and facility settings. Schedule Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, serving Manatee/Sarasota counties.

Responsibilities include vital signs, personal care, caregiver education, and reporting changes to the nurse. Florida CNA certification and CPR are required; hospice/home health experience is preferred. Comprehensive benefits and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• Florida state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• One year of hospice, home health, or acute-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall patient care, including vital signs and personal care.
• Assist with household tasks to support the primary caregiver.
• Educate patient and caregiver about personal care and daily living.
• Report unusual conditions to the nurse or supervisor promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and work within the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
