Job summary

John Knox Village is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care to terminally ill patients under RN guidance and in accordance with the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.

The position requires Missouri CNA certification (or Kansas CHPNA), an active BLS card, a valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance, and the ability to work independently in a field setting while maintaining Village Hospice standards and PRIDE values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain before patient contact.
• Missouri CNA certification required if working in Missouri; Kansas CNA/Home Health Aide certification if Kansas.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Two years of CNA experience, hospice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients and assist with ADLs under RN supervision.
• Document care provided and report changes to the RN Case Manager.
• Follow the Aide Plan of Care and agency policies.
• Move and position patients safely, maintain infection control.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
