Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring CNA to join our hospice houses in Sarasota area, including Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Venice. The shift is 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with responsibilities across in-patient units and home care.

Qualifications

Florida CNA certification is required.
One to three years of training or experience in caregiving is required.
One year of experience in a long-term care facility strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
Performs personal care/home maintenance activities per written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care).
Recognizes and reports unusual conditions or behavior to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
Recognizes the Hospice Aide role and works within that scope of practice at all times.
Maintains confidentiality in care of patient/family.
