Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, a part of Empath Health, seeks a compassionate CNA to work at our Hospice Houses in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Venice. Schedule: 8am–8:30pm.

You will perform personal care tasks under supervision, report concerns, and support patients and families. Florida CNA license and driver’s license may be required for travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License; required if travel between facilities is needed.
• One to three years of training and/or experience; one year in long-term care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs personal care/home maintenance activities as outlined in the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions or behavior to the patient’s nurse or supervising nurse.
• Works within the Hospice Aide scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
