Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring CNA to provide compassionate care at our Sarasota Hospice House. You will support patients with activities of daily living, follow the Hospice Aide Plan of Care, and report changes to the nurse.

Required Florida CNA license and 1–3 years of caregiving experience; LTC experience preferred. Roadmap includes competitive pay, benefits, and PTO. Apply through HR to join our mission-driven team in Southwest Florida.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida CNA license required.
• One to three years of training or experience in caregiving.
• One year of experience in a long-term care facility strongly preferred.
• Driver's license may be required if assigned to work at another facility.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care) by a health professional employee.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the role of the Hospice Aide and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
