Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring CNA for PRN shifts across Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice, FL. The role supports patients with advanced illness in a hospice setting, following a formal plan of care and reporting concerns to nurses.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience required; a year in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values on a consistent basis.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care).
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Recognizes the role of the Hospice Aide and works within that scope of practice at all times.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
