Zusammenfassung

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate, hands‑on care in patients’ homes, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units in the Roanoke area. You will deliver direct personal care, support families, and document visits while adhering to safety protocols and hipaa requirements.

The role requires an active CNA license, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience. Full-time benefits are available.

Qualifikationen

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
