Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate, hands‑on personal care in patients' homes, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. You will support daily living activities, mobility, meals, and emotional well‑being while documenting visits and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires a current CNA license, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and at least 6 months of direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long‑term care environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in QA activities.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
