Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice in Morton Grove, IL is seeking compassionate Hospice CNAs to join our growing team. This role focuses on personal care, patient comfort, and maintaining dignity for our patients in a home-like setting.

We offer competitive salaries up to $26/hour based on experience, a comprehensive benefits package starting first of the month, and a supportive team culture with weekday hours and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clean record and able to deliver care to patients.
• 18 years of age or older unless state law dictates otherwise.
• Valid driver’s license with a vehicle that is insured per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens.
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assisting in feeding the patient.
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue.
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
