Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. Immediate openings with competitive salaries and generous time off are offered, along with a 401(k) plan and employer match.

The position includes a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays, and a strong emphasis on patient-centered care within a supportive team. We provide comprehensive benefits, mileage reimbursement, tuition assistance, and ongoing opportunities for certification and salary

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver's license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements

Responsibilities

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping
• Assisting in feeding the patient
• Providing proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Reporting on patient's condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
