Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking Hospice CNAs to join our growing team. You will provide personal care, assist with activities of daily living, and support patient well-being under the direction of the Case Manager.

We offer competitive pay ($19-$26/hour), Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM with no weekends or holidays, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, generous time off, tuition reimbursement, referral programs, and merit increases.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record to deliver patient care.
• Must be at least 18 years old unless state law dictates otherwise.
• Valid driver’s license with auto insurance as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, baths) to patients.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assist in feeding patients.
• Monitor and report patient skin conditions to prevent breakdown.
• Report patient condition changes to the Case Manager.

What You’ll Do:

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping
• Assisting in feeding the patient
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.

Pay Range: $19-$26/hour - offer based on years of experience
