JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, IL is seeking a dedicated CNA to join our growing team. You will provide attentive personal care and support to patients, including daily living activities and basic health monitoring.

Compensation is competitive with comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, and generous time off. Hours are Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be a state-certified nurse aide with a clear registry record.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or as required by state law).
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Give personal care: baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, bed linens.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Plan, shop for and prepare nutritious meals; assist with feeding.

What You’ll Do:

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping
• Assisting in feeding the patient
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
