Job summary

Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice is seeking an experienced Hospice Director of Clinical Services to lead our Tacoma hospice program. You will provide leadership for clinical operations, ensure Medicare/state compliance, and mentor clinical managers in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The role emphasizes budgeting, staffing, and strategic growth, with a strong focus on achieving survey readiness and high-quality patient care through interdisciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license (or ability to obtain).
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3+ years of healthcare leadership experience.
• 1+ years of hospice leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for hospice clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop clinical managers and staff.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness.
• Partner with agency leadership on budgeting, staffing, and strategic growth.
• Support exceptional patient and family care through interdisciplinary collaboration.
