Job summary

Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice is seeking an experienced Hospice Director of Clinical Services (DCS/DON) to lead our growing hospice program in Tacoma, WA. The role focuses on clinical leadership, regulatory compliance, and program growth.

You will oversee clinical operations, mentor managers, and drive quality initiatives while partnering with leadership on budgeting and staffing in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license (or ability to obtain).
• BSN required.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3+ years healthcare leadership experience.
• 1+ years hospice leadership/management.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for hospice clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop clinical managers and staff.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness.
• Partner with agency leadership on budgeting, staffing, and strategic growth.
• Support exceptional patient and family care through interdisciplinary collaboration.
