Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, OR seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate day-to-day hospice unit operations, collaborate with unit leadership and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

You will assist with staffing, patient flow, regulatory readiness, staff education, and performance improvement, serving as a clinical resource, coaching staff, and participating in education and DNV program activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN or MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day clinical operations of the unit with unit leadership and interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with staffing coordination, schedule support, patient throughput, and assignment awareness.
• Support orientation, onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development in collaboration with leadership.
• Participate in quality monitoring, performance improvement, regulatory readiness, and compliance activities (DNV as applicable).
• Promote effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care as needed within the RN scope of practice.
