Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to join a compassionate, on-site care team. This full-time role includes on-call rotation and requires a strong inter-faith approach to spiritual care.

You will conduct spiritual assessments, support families through grief, and liaise with patient faith communities while ensuring culturally competent care.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree, are ordained or credentialed, and have CPE units; hospice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or divinity school.
• Ordained, credentialed, or commissioned according to the practices of a legitimate and recognized religious organization or faith tradition.
• Three Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units, from ACPE, required.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual counseling to patients and families.
• Complete spiritual needs assessments for patients admitted to hospice services.
• Serve as liaison to patient and family faith communities.
