Qualifications

• One (1+) year of experience in a health care setting or with death and dying.
• Comfort working in an interfaith setting.
• Must be familiar with basic computer use and HR/training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Represents a spiritual presence and connection with hospice roots.
• Provides spiritual resources and counsel to patients, families, and staff.
• Coordinates with the patient’s faith leader or congregation as requested.
• Encourages funeral planning and may officiate at services when requested.
• Present at time of death, if requested.
• Documents religious/spiritual needs on intake/assessment forms and progress notes.
