Job summary

Holy Cross Home Care and Hospice (Maryland), part of Trinity Health At Home, is seeking a Part-time Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families and staff in the local ministry. You’ll focus on spiritual distress, grief support, crisis intervention, and faith-based care within a hospice setting.

As a member of the care team, you will develop and participate in spiritual care programs, collaborate with faith leaders from diverse traditions, and help ensure compassionate,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith group or denomination.
• Experience in spiritual care, chaplaincy, or pastoral counseling, preferably in a hospice or healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of and respect for diverse cultural and religious traditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Board Certification (e.g., BCCI, APC, or equivalent).
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or end-of-life settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff in hospice settings.
• Develops, conducts, and participates in programs of spiritual care.
• Collaborate with faith leaders from diverse traditions to integrate spiritual care.
