Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's At Home Hospice is seeking a Chaplain/Spiritual Caregiver to provide compassionate spiritual care to patients and families. The role works with an Interdisciplinary Team to address emotional and spiritual needs and to support staff as needed.

The position requires formal education in theology or related fields, clinical pastoral education, and health-care pastoral experience. Endorsements and a clean standing with faith groups are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ units of Clinical Pastoral Education or Bachelor's degree in theology, divinity, pastoral care, philosophy, religion or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a health care setting and/or related pastoral experience.
• Documentation of current endorsement or acceptable language (licensing, ordination, etc.) in accordance with the applicant's spiritual/faith tradition.
• Documentation that demonstrates good standing with their spiritual/faith group with no ethical charges.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to Hospice patients and their families.
• Work within the Interdisciplinary Team and contribute to IDG meetings about emotional and spiritual needs.
• Provide spiritual and emotional care to Hospice staff when requested.
