Job summary

Holy Cross Home Care and Hospice is seeking a Part‑Time Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual care within the local ministry. The role focuses on spiritual distress, grief support, crisis intervention, and support during significant life changes as part of an integrated healthcare team.

The chaplain will develop and participate in programs of spiritual care, collaborate with faith leaders, and promote inclusive care across diverse traditions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith group or denomination.
• Experience in spiritual care, chaplaincy, or pastoral counseling, preferably in a hospice or healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of and respect for diverse cultural and religious traditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Board Certification (e.g., BCCI, APC, or equivalent).
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or end‑of‑life settings.
