Job summary

At Home Hospice, part of LHC Group and the Optum family, UnitedHealth Group seeks a Chaplain/Spiritual Caregiver to provide compassionate spiritual care for hospice patients and their families. You will collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to address emotional and spiritual needs and refer to community faith leaders when needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ units of Clinical Pastoral Education or Bachelor's degree in theology, divinity, pastoral care, philosophy, religion or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a health care setting and/or pastoral experience.
• Endorsement or acceptable language with faith group; good standing with spiritual group.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to hospice patients and families across diverse backgrounds.
• Walk alongside patients in their spiritual journey without imposing beliefs.
• Refer to community religious leaders when appropriate; participate in IDG meetings.
• Offer spiritual and emotional support to hospice staff when requested.
