Job summary

The Care Team Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families in Reading, PA and surrounding areas. The role collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to integrate spiritual care into end-of-life plans, ensuring compassionate presence across home and facility settings.

Qualified candidates will have ordination or equivalent, a preferred Bachelor's plus M.Div., and prior hospice or healthcare spiritual care experience.

Qualifications

• Ordination or equivalent in good standing with a faith tradition.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; M.Div. or equivalent theological education preferred.
• Experience in spiritual care within hospice, healthcare, hospital, or pastoral settings.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy, grief support, and end-of-life care.

Job Location: Reading, PA - Reading , PA 19601Hospice Chaplain Spiritual support. Compassionate presence.

Come join a compassionate team dedicated to bringing comfort, guidance, and meaningful support to patients and families during end-of-life care. The Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and families receiving care in home or facility settings by addressing spiritual needs, offering compassionate guidance and emotional support, and participating in interdisciplinary care planning to support quality end-of-life care.

Schedule, Hours, & Territory

• Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:0 AM to 4:30 PM
• Reading, PA, and up to a 1-hour surrounding radius
• Participation in an on-call rotation may be required; additional compensation is provided

Qualifications

• Ordained, commissioned, or otherwise recognized and in good standing with a religious denomination or faith tradition.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent theological education preferred.
• Previous experience providing spiritual care; hospice, healthcare, hospital, or pastoral care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy, grief support, and end-of-life spiritual care.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.
