Job summary

ViaQuest Hospice is seeking a dedicated Spiritual Services Coordinator to enhance the emotional and spiritual well-being of patients and families. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities may include:

  • Delivery of spiritual services to patients and their loved ones.
  • Coordinate and implement all activities of the ViaQuest Hospice spiritual services program.
  • Participate in patient conference by exploring and assessing the potential spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Perform occasional liturgical assignments such as monthly memorial services with employees.
  • Conduct and make arrangements for funeral or memorial service as needed.
  • Arrange for on-call availability of chaplaincy services.

Requirements for this position include:
  • Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry.
  • Experience working with patients and families dealing with illness, loss and grief.
  • Demonstrates ability to be open, sensitive, flexible and ecumenical.
