As a Hospice Aide/CNA, your responsibilities include:
- Reporting to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager, under supervision of RN or Clinical Supervisor
- Assisting with personal hygiene, environment safety, meal preparation, feeding, ambulation, and light housekeeping
- Supporting treatments per care plan and state regulations
- Promoting mental alertness through activities and providing emotional support
- Reporting changes in patient condition or home situation
- Demonstrating basic care techniques to caregivers
- Practicing infection control and maintaining documentation
- Participating in staff meetings and quality improvement activities
About You
Requirements:
- Compassionate, kind, and empathetic nature
- Comfortable providing care in patients’ homes
- Flexible and composed in crisis situations
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred
- Additional experience in hospital or emergency settings advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and insurance
- Current CPR certification
