Responsibilities of Hospice Aide / CNA
- Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director or Patient Care Manager and work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, safe ambulation, light housekeeping, and light meals.
- Support patients' mental and emotional well-being through engagement and companionship.
- Report changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team.
- Practice infection control and document visits accurately.
- Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Compassionate, kind, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to provide care in a patient's home environment.
- Flexibility and composure in crisis situations.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred.
- Current driver’s license, insurance, and CPR certification.
