Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Rochester, MN and surrounding area. You will provide one-on-one hospice care, assist with daily activities, monitor vitals, and support the care team to follow the patient’s plan.

The role requires MN CNA certification, CPR, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid MN driver’s license with transportation. Compensation is $20–$23 per hour with mileage reimbursement and tuition discounts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Minnesota CNA certification
• CPR certification required
• Valid Minnesota driver license with transportation
• Compassionate nature and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and those with illnesses with six months or less to live
• Assist with daily activities (bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, nutrition)
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and ROM exercises
• Check vitals, monitor intake/output, document changes
• Work with Hospice nurses and aides to follow care plans
• Observe patients and notify supervisor of changes in care or meds

As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant, heres a big-picture view of what youll do:

• - Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease that have six months or less to live
• - Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• - Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises
• - Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• - Work with a team of Hospice nurses and aides to ensure a patients care plan is followed
• - Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for Hospice Certified Nursing Assistants:

• - High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Minnesota
• - CPR certification
• - Valid Minnesota drivers license, auto insurance and transportation
• - Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift 50 lbs.
