Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide dignified end-of-life care in Metairie, Kenner, New Orleans Lakeview, and Chalmette, LA. You will support patients and families with daily activities and comfort.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent and active Louisiana CNA certification.
• Six months home health or home-based hospice experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license with auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, good communicator with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Check vitals, monitor intake/output and document changes.
• Work with hospice nurses to ensure care plans are followed.
• Observe patients and notify supervisor of issues requiring changes.

Our Hospice Health Certified Nursing Assistants enjoy some excellent benefits:

• Competitive Pay – $16.00-$18.00 per hour depending on hospice experience

As a Hospice CNA you will:

• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake


• Check vitals, measure intake/output and document any changes


• Work with a team of hospice nurses to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed


• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment


• Making supply deliveries and/or working with other staff members as needed

A few must-haves for Hospice CNAs:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Louisiana


• Six (6) months of home health or home-based hospice experience required


• CPR certification


• Valid Louisiana driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation


• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
