Job summary

The Denver Hospice is actively seeking a Registered Nurse on the Day Shift for the Inpatient Care Center and field visits in Denver, CO. This full-time role offers a daytime schedule (6:30am–7:00pm) with competitive hourly pay and supplemental pay options based on position and shift.

Mileage reimbursement, PTO, and comprehensive benefits are included. Qualified candidates will have an RN license in Colorado, CPR certification, and at least 1–2 years of hospice/palliative care or related

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Colorado RN license and CPR certification.
BSN preferred and valid Colorado driver’s license with proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Provides patient care using nursing skills in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
Coordinates care with IDT/IDG meetings as assigned.
Communicates with attending provider for medications and supplies.
Educates patients, families, caregivers about hospice philosophy and care options.
Supervises CNAs and delegates tasks per policy.
Participates in community education and staff development.
Understands acute care needs of inpatient units.
Completes initial nursing assessments and admissions.
