Job summary

The Denver Hospice is seeking a PRN RN to deliver compassionate patient care across home and facility settings. You will work with the interdisciplinary team to implement the plan of care and ensure high-quality hospice services.

Flexibility is required as schedules vary; days available. The role includes mileage reimbursement and opportunities for stipends, overtime, and career development within a values-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years hospice/palliative care, medical/surgical, public health, oncology, acute care or home health.
• Current Colorado RN license and valid CO driver’s license.
• CPR certification; obtain within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care per Plan of Care (POC); coordinate with IDT/IDG.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care; participate in IDT/IDG meetings.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers about hospice philosophy and treatments.
• Supervise CNAs; delegate tasks per agency policy.
• Participate in community education, staff training, and committees.
• Adapt care to home or facility settings and complete initial assessments.
