Blue Summit Hospice and Palliative Care in Georgia is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide personal care to terminally ill patients under RN supervision, assisting families and supporting bereavement.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved training course, and at least two years as a nursing assistant with ongoing competency to meet OSHA and state requirements. Candidates should be able to lift 100 pounds and endure physically demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an approved training and competency course.
• Must meet Home Health Aide training and competency requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of CNA experience; active patient contact preferred.

Responsabilités

• Under RN supervision, provide essential personal care to hospice patient.
• Provide emotional support to patient and family.
• Maintain competency and complete RN supervision every 14 days.
• Report changes in patient's condition to RN.
• Follow OSHA standard precautions and policies.
• Attend at least 12 hours of inservice education per year.
• Maintain current state certification.
• Maintain knowledge of infectious disease protocols.
