Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide to join our compassionate care team serving North Hillsborough County. This role follows a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule with training at the Tampa office to prepare you for hands-on patient support in homes and facilities.

Qualifications

Certified by the state as a nurse's aide with completion of required training and a passing score on the agency's competency exam.
CPR certification required for direct patient care in some states.
Must be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and eligible to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and state-required auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients, including assistance with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility support.
Support patients in their homes or care facilities through frequent movement and physical activity, ensuring timely and dignified end-of-life care.
Monitor comfort levels, respond to needs, and assist with daily living activities while upholding safety and infection control protocols.
