AdventHealth Hospice Care is seeking a dynamic Field Marketing/Referral Development professional to cultivate relationships with physicians, hospitals and senior care facilities in the Shawnee Mission area. You will develop tailored referral solutions, manage data, and support budget and outreach initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in marketing, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, healthcare, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of marketing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and patient databases.

Responsibilities

• Referral development with physicians, hospitals, and facilities.
• Consultative sales to understand referral source needs and provide solutions.
• Data management: document daily calls, contacts, territory updates, and reports.
• Budget management: submit expense reports and stay within budget.
• Educational outreach: coordinate events with Education Department to promote hospice care.
• Clinical communication: respond to inquiries and provide timely patient status updates.
• Networking & representation: attend professional meetings to build relationships.
• Team participation: join staff meetings and trainings.
• Professional development: attend seminars to enhance hospice knowledge and skills.
• Business development & marketing: promote services to referral sources and execute territory growth plans.
• Provider education: inform professionals about hospice eligibility and Medicare benefits.

Job Description: Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day Shift 8am-5pm. Could have occassional evenings or weekends. Location: Covering the Shawnee Mission and Surrounding Area. Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. Mileage reimbursement provided: $0.76 per mile

Responsibilities

• Referral Development: Cultivate connections with individuals and organizations that influence referrals to hospice care. Other duties as assigned.
• Consultative Sales: Develops a clear understanding of the referral source’s needs and provides tailored solutions, utilizing appropriate marketing collateral or educational materials.
• Data Management: Accurately document daily sales calls, referral source contact information, territory updates, and communications in electronic database systems; submit required reports to management.
• Budget- Submit expense reports timely and in accordance with company policies. Stay within allotted budget and work with manager if opportunities arise that require additional financial resources.
• Educational Outreach: Coordinate and conduct educational events for referral sources in collaboration with the Education Department to promote hospice care and the organization’s mission.
• Clinical Communication: Respond to referral source inquiries regarding patient status and provide timely updates, including notifications of patient deaths.
• Networking & Representation: Attend professional meetings and networking events to represent hospice services and build community relationships.
• Conflict Resolution: Serve as a liaison between referral source and hospice care to address concerns and document issues. Collaborate with appropriate team members to implement effective resolutions.
• Team Participation: Engage in staff and departmental meetings, in-services, and other organizational activities.
• Professional Development: Attend seminars and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to hospice care and outreach.
• Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals of the hospice program.
• Business Development & Marketing: Promote hospice services directly to physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities within an assigned territory. Develops and executes a business plan to achieve territory goals for growth.
• Provider Education: Inform healthcare professionals about hospice eligibility criteria, services, and Medicare benefit to foster strong referral relationships.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
• [Required] Knowledge (intermediate to advanced) of the sales process.
• [Required] Knowledge of intermediate to advanced application of Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as internet software.
• [Required] Knowledge of patient database system.
• [Required] Knowledge of telephone protocol.
• [Required] Ability to complete AdventHealth Hospice Orientation and Training, as necessary.
• [Required] Excellent time management and organizational skills

Education

• Bachelor's [Preferred]
• Field of Study: in Marketing, healthcare, or related field
• Work Experience: 2+ years marketing experience [Required]

Pay Range

• $61,526.40 - $114,420.80
