Job summary

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least 5 years of healthcare billing experience, and proficiency with automated accounting systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; experience in accounting systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ healthcare billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with facility billing staff and respond timely to information requests.
• Verify Medicaid-related billing for room and board and ensure monthly accuracy.
• Enter billing data into patient care system to ensure timely Medicaid billing.
• Prepare monthly reports for billing and reconcile spreadsheets.
• Post contractual adjustments and verify receipt of Medicaid payments.
