Job summary

Good Samaritan Hospice, a ministry of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is seeking a compassionate Part Time Bereavement Coordinator to join our team in Valencia, PA. You will provide bereavement support, counseling, and follow-up services to families of hospice patients, and develop individualized plans of care based on each person’s needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in hospice, grief counseling, bereavement services, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism when working with individuals experiencing grief and loss.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation as needed for job responsibilities.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure comprehensive support for patients and families.
• Participate in hospice memorial services and other bereavement-related activities.

Good Samaritan Hospice, a ministry of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part timeBereavement Coordinator to join our team.

The Bereavement Coordinator plays an important role in supporting families and loved ones before and after the loss of a loved one. This position provides emotional support, grief education, counseling, and ongoing bereavement services to help individuals navigate the grieving process.

This is a part time position working 24 hours between Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend events, based in our Valencia Office.
